Kia Soul 2014-2019 PS Service Manual / Engine Mechanical System / Cooling System / Water pump Installation

1.
Install the new gasket and water punp(A).
Tightening torque :
9.8 ~ 11.8 N.m (1.0 ~ 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 ~ 8.7 lb-ft)

2.
Install the water pump pulley (A).
Tightening torque :
9.8 ~ 11.8 N.m (1.0 ~ 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 ~ 8.7 lb-ft)
  
Tighten the bolts diagonally when installing.
3.
Remove the drive belt.
(Refer to Timing System - "Drive Belt")
4.
Fill with engine coolant.
5.
Start engine and check for leaks.
6.
Recheck engine coolant level.
