Kia Soul 2014-2019 PS Service Manual / Manual Transaxle System / Vehicle Speed Sensor / Removal

1.
Remove the air cleaner assembly.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Air Cleaner")
2.
Remove the battery and battery tray.
(Refer to Engine Electrical System - "Battery")
3.
Disconnect the vehicle speed sensor connector (A).
4.
Remove the vehicle speed sensor (A) and driven gear.
Tightening torque:
4.9 ~ 6.9 N.m (0.5 ~ 0.7 kgf.m, 3.6 ~ 5.1 lb.ft)

  
After removing speed sensor, be careful not to enter dust, foreign matters, etc in speed sensor hole.
5.
Separate the vehicle speed sensor (A) and driven gear (B).
