Kia Soul 2014-2019 PS Service Manual / Heating,Ventilation And Air Conditioning / Blower / Blower Motor Replacement

[Standard Type]
1.
Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
2.
Remove the crash pad lower panel.
(Refer to Body - "Crash Pad Lower Panel")
3.
Remove the driver's side shower duct (A) after loosening the screw.

4.
Lower the steering column after loosening the mounting bolts and nuts.
(Refer to Steering System - "Steering Column and Shaft")
5.
Disconnect the mode control actuator connector (A) and then remove the mounting clip (B).

6.
Disconnect the connector (A) and then remove the temperature control actuator (B) after loosening the mounting screws.

7.
Remove the brake pedal.
(Refer to Brake System - "Brake Pedal")
8.
Disconnect the connector (A) and then remove the blower motor (B) after loosening the screws.

9.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
[Telemetics Unit (TMU) Type]
1.
Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
2.
Remove the crash pad lower panel.
(Refer to Body - "Crash Pad Lower Panel")
3.
Remove the driver's side shower duct (A) after loosening the screw.

4.
Lower the steering column after loosening the mounting bolts and nuts.
(Refer to Steering System - "Steering Column and Shaft")
5.
Remove the telemetics unit (TMU).
(Refer to Body Electrical System - “Telemetics Unit (TMU)”)
6.
Disconnect the mode control actuator connector (A) and then remove the mounting clip (B).

7.
Disconnect the connector (A) and then remove the temperature control actuator (B) after loosening the mounting screws.

8.
Remove the brake pedal.
(Refer to Brake System - "Brake Pedal")
9.
Disconnect the connector (A) and then remove the blower motor (B) after loosening the screws.

10.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
